Neck Pain Physiotherapy
Neck pain?
Move more freely.
Neck pain can affect your work, sleep and everyday activities. We start with a detailed assessment to understand your problem and how it is limiting you.

What is it?
Pain may stay in the neck or travel into the arm
Neck pain may feel like pain, tension or stiffness in the cervical region. It can develop gradually or suddenly and may make it difficult to turn your head.
In some cases, pain may spread into the shoulder or arm and may be accompanied by numbness, tingling or weakness.
Common symptoms
How is the pain limiting you?
Pain may appear while working, after sleeping or when you try to turn your head.

Headache

Tension during the day
Tiredness and tension after work or prolonged phone use.
Causes
It is often linked to everyday habits
Neck pain is not always caused by a single problem. It may be related to your working position, muscle tension, stress or the way you use your phone.
Long hours at the computer
Using your phone with your head bent forward
Muscle tension and stress
Lack of physical activity
An unsuitable sleeping position
Cervical disc problems
Phone and computer
Why does your neck hurt after hours in front of a screen?
When your head stays bent forward for a long time, the neck muscles have to work harder and persistent tension may develop.
Changing your chair alone is not enough. It is also important to improve your position, movement and breaks throughout the day.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about neck pain
Is it normal to have neck pain every day? +
Persistent, recurring or worsening neck pain should be assessed to understand what may be contributing to it.
Can phone use contribute to neck pain? +
Yes. Spending long periods with your head bent forward can increase the load on the muscles and contribute to neck tension.
Can neck pain go away on its own? +
Some episodes may improve on their own, but if the pain keeps returning, an assessment can help identify contributing factors and guide treatment.
How many sessions will I need? +
It depends on your symptoms, how long you have had the pain and how you respond to treatment. Your plan is determined after the initial assessment.
