First appointment
What you should know before coming to the clinic and what happens during your initial assessment.
What happens during the first appointment? +
First appointment fillon me një bisedë për simptomat, historikun, aktivitetet e përditshme dhe mënyrën si problemi po të kufizon.
The physiotherapist then assesses your movement, strength, posture and other factors related to your problem. At the end, you discuss your goals and the possible next steps for treatment.
Do I need a diagnosis before coming? +
Not necessarily. You can book an appointment even if you do not have a confirmed diagnosis.
The physiotherapist performs a functional assessment and, if there are signs that require medical evaluation or further examinations, will recommend the appropriate specialist.
Should I bring scans or medical reports? +
If you have an MRI, X-ray, test results, medical report or other documents related to your problem, you can bring them with you.
They can help us understand your history, but treatment is not based on imaging alone. Assessing your symptoms and function is equally important.
What should I wear to my appointment? +
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and makes it easier to assess the area that is bothering you.
Does treatment start at the first appointment? +
This depends on your condition and the findings of the assessment. In some cases, appropriate techniques or exercises may begin during the first appointment.
In other cases, the priority may be to complete the assessment or obtain a medical evaluation first.

Sessions dhe programi
Duration, frequency and how treatment is adapted throughout the process.
How long is a physiotherapy session? +
A session at Treka Fizio lasts approximately 60 minutes and is provided individually with your physiotherapist.
How many sessions will I need? +
The number of sessions is not the same for everyone. It depends on the problem, how long it has been present, the intensity of your symptoms, your goals and your response to treatment.
After the initial assessment, we propose a starting plan, which is reviewed according to your progress.
How often should I come each week? +
Frequency is determined individually. Some patients may need more frequent sessions at the beginning, while others may need less frequent visits.
The program is adapted to your condition, goals and ability to follow your home exercises.
Is physiotherapy painful? +
The aim of treatment is not to cause pain. Some movements or exercises may cause mild discomfort, especially when an area is sensitive or stiff.
Your physiotherapist adjusts the intensity according to your body's response and your feedback.
Will I receive exercises to do at home? +
When appropriate, yes. Home exercises are selected according to your condition and stage of treatment.
They should be performed according to your physiotherapist's instructions rather than replaced with exercises selected randomly from the internet.
How do we know if treatment is working? +
Progress is not measured by pain alone. We also assess movement, strength, tolerance to activity and your ability to return to everyday tasks.
The program is adapted from session to session according to the changes we observe.

Conditions we treat
Answers about herniated discs, pain, sciatica and rehabilitation.
What conditions can physiotherapy help with? +
Physiotherapy can help with many musculoskeletal problems, including low back, neck, shoulder and knee pain, herniated discs, sciatica, scoliosis, jaw problems and post-operative rehabilitation.
View all treatments →Can a herniated disc be treated without surgery? +
In many cases, symptoms associated with a herniated disc may be managed conservatively with physiotherapy, controlled exercise and activity modification.
Every case is different. If the assessment identifies signs that require medical evaluation, we recommend the appropriate specialist.
Learn more about herniated discs →Do you treat low back and neck pain? +
Yes. Treatment begins by understanding possible contributing factors, the movements that provoke your symptoms and habits that may be keeping the problem active.
The program may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, mobility work and advice for everyday activities.
Do you treat sciatica? +
Yes. We first assess why the pain is travelling from the lower back towards the buttock or leg.
Sciatic symptoms may be associated with a herniated disc, nerve irritation or other factors, so treatment is not the same for every patient.
Learn more about sciatica →Do you offer post-operative rehabilitation? +
Yes. The program is created according to the type of surgery, stage of healing, your surgeon's guidance and your functional goals.
View post-operative rehabilitation →Do you use machines during treatment? +
Our approach is based primarily on functional assessment, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and patient education.
We do not base treatment on the passive use of machines.
Category 04
Children dhe skolioza
Common questions from parents about posture and the growing years.
Do you treat children and adolescents? +
Yes. The program is adapted to the child's age, condition, stage of growth and ability to follow the exercises.
When should a child's posture be assessed? +
An assessment may be appropriate when you notice asymmetry in the shoulders, back, waist or pelvis, when the body appears tilted, or when the child reports fatigue or discomfort in the back.
Can physiotherapy help with scoliosis? +
Physiotherapy can help improve body control, posture and strength, and support management of the condition.
The program is adapted according to age, stage of growth and the individual characteristics of the scoliosis.

Scoliosis can be present without causing pain. An assessment can help determine whether monitoring, an exercise program or further evaluation may be appropriate.
